Sitio Amoreira - Brazil

$19.00

Sitio Amoreira is owned and operated by Maurilio Scalco, a man whose family has been growing coffee for 90 years. During World War II, Maurilio’s family immigrated to Brazil from Italy, and Maurilio’s father eventually bought the land that is now home to Sitio Amoreira. Located at approximately 1200masl, this farm primarily grows the Catuai varietal and is 100% powered by a solar grid Maurilio built himself.

This natural process lot has been sourced by Legender Specialty Coffee, exporters with whom we’ve worked several times before. Legender only sources coffee from small, family-owned farms in Brazil called “sitios.” When it comes to sitio coffee, all the hard work these producers put in year after year is continuously reflected in their product. This is evidenced by Sitio Amoreira, a farm that exemplifies how special it is to be a family-owned operation.

This coffee is juicy with orange brightness, peanut butter nuttiness, rounded out with a syrupy honey sweetness and body.
